After 2011, Fen Hwa-King continued to explore rendering of patterns and colors. In her recent artworks, simplified details express sentiments towards flowers and plants. Colors are more vivid and intense, thus aiming to present a simple strength and unique beauty.

Fen graduated from Business Administration Department of National Taiwan University. After her first solo exhibition in 1984, she started artist carrier that have been lasting for over thirty years. During these years, she has had a great number of solo exhibitions at Lung Men Gallery in Taipei, Modern Gallery in Taichung, Different Gallery and Liang Gallery in Taipei, J.P. Art Center in Kaohsiung, Sing Art Gallery in Tainan, Eslite Gallery in Taipei, and E. D. Lee Gallery in Taipei. Two artworks, Settle the Hear and Conversation, have been collected by Taipei Fine Arts Museum in Taipei.

She is fond of advocating freedom in her paintings. On the one hand, she is keen on following the rules, but, on the other hand, she likes to slightly provoke them. Small grids often appear in her works and are used as a protection from outside interference. Fen Hwa-King’s works are filled with her attitude towards art and herself.
