Taiwanese cutting-edge artist Wang Chien-Yang creates a joyful and imaginary yet bewildered world. His new solo exhibition “A House Odyssey” is hold at Liang Gallery. In the latest works Wang incorporates multiple forms of creation, including photography, painting, and installation. He continues the “house (zhai)” series and presents new works with witty and funny toys. Wang Chien-Yang, born in 1981, looks at serious global issues from a very unique and carefree point of view.

Colorful brilliant colors, childlike, innocent toys, and videos are dominant in Wang Chien-Yang’s creation that also has a strong sense of contemporaneity. He indulges in “toys” and constantly uses them in his artworks. Space-saving playful atmosphere and sense of joy even more emphasizes the endless possibilities of the “house (zhai)” series.
