2024 ART TAICHUNG

The 2024 ART TAICHUNG will be grandly held at the Millennium Hotel Taichung. Liang Gallery has meticulously curated an exhibition for French-based artist Leo Wang, titled “Singularité". This exhibition will create an immersive art space through the interplay of light and sound.

Leo Wang was born in 1981 in Taipei, Taiwan. He received a master’s degree in Contemporary Art and New Media from the Université de Paris VIII, France in 2012. Wang’s paintings are considered pure abstract that the viewers need to keep a distance to see the whole imagery.

His new works pay attention to environmental and social issues. The foggy, watery, misty atmosphere typical of Wang’s artistic style remain in the pictures, while the creation of color blocks as if they are sources of light, expands the visual dimension in the surface.

Wang has exhibited in Art en Capital Salon du Dessin et de la Peinture à l’Eau at Grand Palais, France, for several times. He has had numerous exhibitions in Taipei, Paris, Düsseldorf, London, and Singapore, from 2006 to 2024. His solo exhibitions include “Visual Frontier” and “Leo Wang Solo Exhibition – Stargazer” at Liang Gallery in 2013 and 2017. Wang’s artworks are in the collection of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan Art Bank, O-Bank and Dior.
